Snow in February

I know I am a little late in this posting.

When it starting snowing on the 12th, Josh was working and Judah and I were sleeping. We awoke to a beautiful blanket of snow starting to form :) I dressed JZ in some warm clothes and we sat by the front door and watched the snow come down. He was amazed and just stared. He was so cute :)

Josh ended up getting off work early so when he came home we all bundled up and headed outside for a few minutes.... literally, like 3 or 4 minutes was all we were out.

Here are our pictures:

Valentine's and Judah- 8 Months Today

Valentine's

Josh and I celebrated Valentine's Saturday because he had to work on Sunday. We had a great time! We went to Outback Steakhouse (yummy!) for a delicious dinner. We went all out.... 4 course meal :) bloomin' onion, soup/salad, steak, dessert. We enjoyed it!

Josh did great this year on my gift. I love giving and receiving gifts- this is my love language. I always tell him not to send me flowers because they will just die, but I also add they are nice to received occassionally! So this year I got 2 dozen pink and white tulips- and they are beautiful! Still looking good today! Josh also added to my Pandora bracelet that he started for me at Christmas.

(The tuplips weren't open very much in this picture but look even better now that they are!)

Judah- 8 Months

Today is Judah's 8 month birthday! And, what does he get? His first round of antibiotics :( Recently, JZ has been teething- cutting all 4 top teeth. With this comes a runny nose and often a fever. But this morning, he woke up and was burning up! Immediately, I checked his temp and it was 102.5!!!! I FLIPPED out! I know immediately this was more than teething. Thankfully, Josh was off today and could take him to the doctor without me having to take a day off work. Dr. Getts- a HUGE blessing :) - saw him first thing this morning and JZ is diagnosed with a sinus infection. Thank the Lord for an AMAZING pediatrician who knew what it was and gave him the meds he needs. So far Judah has had one dose of Amoxicillin and he will get the 2nd dose just before bed tonight.

Totally stole this idea from my friend Deborah Anne (thanks Girl!):

Today, JZ weighed in at 23 lbs 9 oz (clothed)! That's my BIG boy! I am so proud of all that he is doing now:

waving

saying "Dada"

saying "Hey"

scootting around

pushing up on all fours and rocking back and forth

goes to sleep on his own, in his crib

taking 2 naps day (1 1/2 to 2 hours) and a cat nap

sleeping 11 hours at night

He is just precious! Love him will ALL my heart!

This Weekend

Pray for me..... This weekend I am leaving Judah for the WHOLE weekend :( I have never done this before. I have left him for one night at a time but never this long. I know he will be completely fine being with Josh's parents tonight and mine tomorrow night. I am the one who needs prayer!

It isn't easy leaving this precious face.

Josh and I love working with the youth at our church and us being gone this weekend is because of our love for these young people. We will be working an Encounter. This is an INCREDIBLE event that will change the lives of youth people. We will spend the night at the church tonight and tomorrow and finish up Sunday after the 11:00 service.

Even though I will be so busy, I will miss my little man! This is good preperation for May. In May, Josh and I will be going to Antigua..... Yes, Antigua!!!!! My cousin in getting married there! We CANNOT wait! We will be staying on a Sandals resort and children are not allowed. Judah will be with my in- laws for 4 nights... (my parents are going too). I guess it is better to leave Judah a little bit at a time to prepare for 4 nights away.

Have a GREAT weekend!

I Could be a Stay at Home Mom....

So I was off work today- not because it was a holiday. Mrs. Mary, Judah's sitter, had a doctors appointment today. We just LOVE Mrs. Mary to pieces.... she is like another grandmother to our JZ. Josh and I are so thankful for Mrs. Mary in so many ways- first, she loves Judah so much, he does not have to go to daycare where many kids stay sick, she is close to home, and there are only 2 other children there only 3 days a week (just to name a few), so Judah gets a lot of one on one time! Mrs. Mary talks about how much she misses him when he is not there.

Our day started off with breakfast- bottle then cereal- No it did not start off with a trip to the gym for me, that will be tomorrow for Boot Camp. After that was play time- we started off on the floor playing with toys and seeing if Judah would be interested in crawling- no such luck! After that was a short nap. Next it was time spent playing in his exersaucer- he loves it! While Judah was in his exersaucer, he showed off some of his newest tricks (see video below). Judah is now saying "Dadda" all the time and he also waves! It is so cute! I know I am a proud momma, but it is the best to hear him talk! After all this excitement, Judah and I went and visited with Mamama, my grandmother, for a few minutes. She is so funny! Anytime spent with her will always bring some good laughs. Up next was a Wal-mart trip. We spent 1 1/2 hours there and JZ was SO good, even though he was tired. Once we got home, Judah went straight down for his afternoon nap. It was perfect timing because while he was sleeping, I was able to put away the groceries and make baby food. I made squash, carrots, and pears- yummy! Now he is up and playing again.

Although I really enjoy my job and Josh and I are SO THANKFUL for Mrs. Mary, I could REALLY get used to days like this with my boy! How much longer until summer? Just kidding!

Sorry it is sideways.
